The Rest of the Story

I am glad that I could bring a smile to your face yesterday with the story of The Unfortunate Apples.

For those that asked:

1) Luckily, there was only one other customer nearby. She did witness the. . . event. . . and asked me if I was okay. Telling her that I was pregnant was enough to mollify her.

2) I didn't know what to do about the apples. I finally found a produce person (who was coming out to stock the bananas, just a few minutes too late). I told him as delicately as possible what had transpired and he was great. He nicely offered to throw the entire bag and its contents away for me. They didn't make me pay for the apples even though I did offer.

After that, I made a pretty hasty retreat to the register, forgetting about 90% of what I had come in for. I figured my dear husband could finish our grocery shopping for me.

The thing about morning sickness is. . . you can have a good day and then a terrible day. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Yesterday was actually a good day. And of course, since I am never happy, when I have a good day, I worry that something has happened to the baby.

It's hard to believe that the next ultrasound is in just three more sleeps.

The question remains, do you think you'll consume apples at all during your pregnancy or even after, when the baby is here?! ;)

Three more sleeps!! YAY!

My internet has been down! I missed that story...that was very nice of them to take care of the bag for you.

Note to self - when pregnant, keep stock of airsickness bags handy at all times.

Let's hope I need them soon! :)

I know what you mean about the nausea. The last 2 days I've been pretty good in the afternoon, and then I freak out. Cause everyone says that things are even worse with twins, so I figure I should be violently ill all the time. But its just the IF crazies, so I try hard to let it go.

3 more sleeps for me too!

oh, poor you. your story is funny, but I know I would have been freaked out if it was me. that's great that the people at the store were so nice.

Only 3 more sleeps!!!

Just read both posts today. That is so funny! I'm sure it was embarassing, but definitely one to include in the baby book!!

Oh this story is priceless. If the store had made you pay for the apples, I would have happily led a boycott of the chain...cause that would just be wrong on so many levels. I hope you don't get any more of these surprise puke attacks at the wrong time and place!

Yikes. I'm with you on the morning sickness coming and going. Every time i feel like it's gone I start to panic. Then I generally find myself sick again within the next 24 hours. It's a sick cycle. Literally. :P

Well i am glad that the people at the store were very nice to you. So sorry it had to happen that way though. Tracy made a good point about keeping some extra bags for just this kind of occasion. Better luck the next time you go to the store.
