Our Last Day, Just Us Two

Technically, tomorrow will be my last day with Will before Emma's arrival. But M gets off work at noon tomorrow so we can head north to my MIL's, where Will is going to be staying while we have Emma. So, this is our last full, "normal" Will-and-Mommy Day Together.

I have definitely been sentimental this week, both looking backwards (where has the time gone?!?) and peering anxiously forward (how will I love another one this much?!?!). I am ready to get past all of of this anticipation and just dig in to making our new "normal" life together.

But today? Today is just for Will and me.
We are going to a free concert series at a local park this morning, for a children's artist that I saw in concert as a child myself, more than 20 years ago (as an interesting side note, no one else I know has ever heard of Tim Noah. . . have any of you? I still have all of the words to "Going to the Country Store" memorized). We are going to play out in our backyard when he gets up from a nap. M and I are taking him someplace fun for dinner.

I know our lives are going to change. I know that it's going to be scary, exciting, wonderful, and amazing. I know we have plenty of love to go around for 100 babies. Just for today, I want to hold on to these last few moments with the Little Man who changed everything.

It is what it is said...

That first picture is so sweet of Will's head on your pregnant-with-his-sister belly.

As a mother to a 3 yr old boy who is the light of my and our life, I am crying in empathy for you. I imagine being in this very position one day and can completely relate to how emotional it must be.

Enjoy the sweetness of this cherished time.

i hope you 2 have an amazing day! I totally savored every moment in the last week before Sawyer's arrival with Grayson and I so don't regret that. But...just to give you some hope for the other side - I promise it's not so bad and weird. I still have plenty of love to give to both. I gotta say I was nervous about that...but it's all good. Can't wait to see pics of Emma! I'll be posting some of sawyer here soon!
