Waiting IS the Hardest Part

First off, thank you for the love, support, and encouraging comments. I really appreciate it. The wind was a bit out of my sails last night and it helps to have you all rooting for us and this little baby. What I have to keep focused on, what I must remember, is that there is a little beating heart inside of me right now and that little life depends on me to keep positive and to try to not be so stressed about things.

My OB's office called back this morning and after reviewing the results himself, Dr. S is really not concerned. He feels that any measurements within a week of the estimated gestational age are okay, especially at this early stage. We are scheduled for another ultrasound on January 5th, when I will be 11 weeks, 2 days pregnant (by my dates). It is tough to think about waiting so long to check in on things, but honestly, I am not sure how much better I would have felt having an ultrasound at 9 weeks, even if the baby looked good. Gummy Bear looked great at 9 weeks and still died, so I probably won't feel 100% okay until we are safely out of the first trimester, regardless of another ultrasound in the middle.

So, again, we wait.

Yes, the waiting sucks big time! I hope that the Christmas season can take your mind off things a bit or at least make the time go by a bit quicker. Praying very hard for a happy outcome for you! God bless!

I haven't posted a comment in a little while but good luck with the wait. I'm sure it is hard to keep your mind off of it, but hopefully Will and the holidays will provide a good distraction.
