The Other Side of Sleepless Nights

Well, since I posted about Will's lack of sleep, I really do owe you an update on sleep when it's going well.

I'm not sure why or how, but the little guy seems to be in a much better place for sleep this week. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, he only woke up once to eat (and about 4:00 in the morning, so a nice eight hour stretch before waking). Tuesday and Wednesday nights, he did not wake up at all. He went to sleep at 7:00 and woke up at 6:15! I couldn't have been more pleased. He is also starting to nap a bit longer in the day, too, going past his 45 minute sleep cycle.

I don't think we are really doing anything differently, but he is almost five months (how can that be?!?!), and I know some people claim that's when the four month sleep regression is over. Or perhaps the solids are helping, too?

It may just be another phase, but can I just tell you how much better I feel when I have had some sleep?! So. very. much.

The only thing that I have come to count on with babies and sleep is that they like to switch it up. Just when you think that you know what to expect it changes!

Wonderful news, my little man worked sleeping out at 4 1/2 months I can tell you the exact date. 2 years on it is still fixed in my mind. Keep it up Will

I'm so glad!!! We're still working on it, and I can't seem to get them to shake the 4am feeding, but I'm trying to focus on relishing this time with them. I know soon enough I'll be missing them after 8 hours with no waking. :)

Yep, our babies would give us a few good nights, then some not so good nights...it was a gamble! Thus we went to bed at 8:30pm every night...either we ended up with 8-9 hours of sleep or 6. Im not even going to type out our status right now because I will jinx it.

This is so weird...my twins were due on the exact same day as Will was. My boys were born 5 weeks early, so their birthdays are different, but they are gestationally the same age, to the day. My boys have been going through the exact same thing, so I went to the doctor to check their ears, etc... The doctor just said that this is around the age that they can take a step backwards. It's happening over here too, so don't worry, you aren't alone! I'm glad it's getting better for you, maybe there's an end in sight for me too!!!
