Me Do It

Oh, boy.

We've entered a new phase here.

It's the "me do it!" phase.

Will wants to do everything himself. . . "me put on boots," "me get Emma's toy," "me turn off light" . . . you get the picture.

Lord, grant me patience.

I've got two little guys starting the "me do it's" too! Fun, Fun! I guess we just have to keep on telling ourselves that it's the only way for them to ever be independent!

Yes, this is true!!! :)

For realz! I love promoting independence, but not the kind of independence that requires 10 minutes to put a 2 year old in their pajamas because they insist on pulling the zipper up their selves and my interference is met with a hand and a "no mama!".

This is a hard one! And it doesn't end anytime soon.

And if I am not in a hurry, it is fine to let her do it herself, but it takes 10 times longer when she does it. And I know she has to learn, but Oh my!

You will have patience, and enjoy being surprised at how well he can do it!

Oh, us too. And sometimes it is nice and sometimes I want to pull my eyelashes out.

I hope he gives you patience b/c he skipped right over me! It drives me nuts and makes any attempt of getting out of the house in a reasonable amount of time completely impossible! Good luck!!!
