It seems that many of the blogs I read are experiencing this, as well as some of the interactive message forums.

It's like everyone got tired of playing nice with their families and had to find another outlet for all that pent-up anger and frustration. Entertaining as long as one is not the target. :(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-40484793812563546742010-01-04T13:20:28.391-08:002010-01-04T13:20:28.391-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Nickyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15614845410446113639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-47671451772252201072010-01-04T12:38:23.450-08:002010-01-04T12:38:23.450-08:00When I think back to the first 4-5 months we were ...When I think back to the first 4-5 months we were home from China, the word that comes to mind to characterize it is not "easy." It was grueling, painful, scary, rewarding, challenging, confusing, sad, amazing, and uplifting to watch our daughter go through so much emotional upheaval, grieve the loss of her foster family (after having lost her birth family), learn to trust again, and begin to assimilate and thrive in both a new language and culture.

And then several months after that I did not find it easy to sign consent forms to have her chest cracked and put on a bypass machine, help her prepare for her open heart surgery, nor watch & assist her recover from it, both physically and emotionally.

It has been our privilege as her parents to be witness to all of it, and to be granted the chance to be her Forever Family. But easy? No, it was not.

For what it's worth, my perspective comes from someone whose child has been a good sleeper and eater from the start. I can't imagine nightmares, feeding issues, and so on on top of that, which many adoptive parents deal with. But then again, they may not be able to have imagined how they could have dealt with the issues we faced.

Their journey is as valid as ours, and I don't dismiss their struggles, and appreciate those who don't dismiss ours.Ms. Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04734867984972785143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-67267803640506537762010-01-04T09:00:59.651-08:002010-01-04T09:00:59.651-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-13607949412039696602010-01-04T08:18:55.965-08:002010-01-04T08:18:55.965-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-28511893967020684482010-01-04T08:15:29.456-08:002010-01-04T08:15:29.456-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.GibsonTwinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09328776587709357686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-65859008408764151542010-01-04T08:07:26.081-08:002010-01-04T08:07:26.081-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.SaraLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08322868527436319658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-42236239260151195842010-01-04T08:03:17.559-08:002010-01-04T08:03:17.559-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.SaraLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08322868527436319658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-37433308122214763322010-01-04T07:53:35.441-08:002010-01-04T07:53:35.441-08:00Wow, just getting a chance to read all of this dra...Wow, just getting a chance to read all of this drama!

COMPASSION, people, and play nice! (As I tell Lil Pumpkin, "or I will take away that toy and you will not get it back until tomorrow at the earliest!") I will admit that a few years back I was a very black & white person, meaning that I tend to not see the shades of grey that exist in people's life circumstances, and how they were shaped, if not brusied, by them.

Perhaps for some people it takes the experience of being fertility-challenged, or even worse the horrible experience(s) of miscarriage or infant loss to help them emerge as a more kind and understanding person. I don't wish anybody to have to go through these experiences in order to possess that personality trait, though. Just saying that I doubt people who have gone through horrid, horrid, gut-wrenching things would be so cruel and dismissive of others' feelings.Ms. Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04734867984972785143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-85503618187330744462010-01-04T07:53:11.594-08:002010-01-04T07:53:11.594-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.GibsonTwinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09328776587709357686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-46853935110309797342010-01-04T07:41:51.132-08:002010-01-04T07:41:51.132-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.SaraLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08322868527436319658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-52532245549894851482010-01-04T04:54:10.250-08:002010-01-04T04:54:10.250-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.GibsonTwinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09328776587709357686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-59541452861963212522010-01-04T04:48:33.967-08:002010-01-04T04:48:33.967-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.GibsonTwinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09328776587709357686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-60751802432339457382010-01-03T19:14:51.983-08:002010-01-03T19:14:51.983-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-7243291358321599032010-01-03T18:53:57.082-08:002010-01-03T18:53:57.082-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-30047770786719360012010-01-03T15:39:01.538-08:002010-01-03T15:39:01.538-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-22125060971726581362010-01-03T15:14:20.091-08:002010-01-03T15:14:20.091-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.GibsonTwinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09328776587709357686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-23481969402868705222010-01-03T14:43:57.030-08:002010-01-03T14:43:57.030-08:00I had a Blogspot account before merged with Google...I had a Blogspot account before merged with Google and it was better then. More spam than anonymous vitriol, you know? Maybe that was just because not so many people thought of blogs as a part of everyday life back in 2004.

That said, I moved to Wordpress specifically for the commenting functions. I like that I only have to moderate comments from each person once, then they're automatically approved from there on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6490746375774981338.post-87155904636563313162010-01-03T12:33:53.126-08:002010-01-03T12:33:53.126-08:00I totally agree with you. I then leave a comment to defend them... only for that hateful person to come back and attack me. I have decided that my blog is my house... I will not allow anyone to come to my house and be rude. Nope. Delete. I don't think we should allow them a forum.
