I know you are worried about early bonding and a NICU stay. My Andrew was born by emergency c-section at exactly 36 weeks. We were there for the birth (we adopted him), but he went straight to the NICU. It was late the next day before we could actually hold him. Instant bonding, which was surprising since I didn't carry him. Oh, and he was born on a Tuesday night and we took him home on Friday night from the NICU.
